Located at a distance of 76 km from Riga, Rundale Palace is a pearl of Baroque architecture in Latvia, standing proud in its original splendour in a fertile plain surrounded by forests. It is Latvia’s version of Versailles and Sans Soucis. Today this place is subtly restored and 138 rooms are open to visitors in all their splendour and it is the most significant masterpiece of Baroque architecture in the Baltic States. Kadriorg Palace in Estonia
The beautiful Baroque palace Kadriorg was built as a summer residence after an order of the Russian tzar Peter the Great in the early 18th century. The palace displays a valuable collection of the Foreign Museum.
Trakai Castle in Lithuania
Trakai and Lithuanian Historical National Park – is a lovely little town surrounded by lakes. Gediminas founded the fortress 28 km to the west from Vilnius, making it the capital in 1320. Biggest part of Trakai – an island about 2 km in length, the northern point is between Luka Lake in the east and Totoriškių Lake in the west. Lake Galve washes fortress on the north side, only here there are 21 islands.
